Save the Date: Kagoshima Fair 2023 Demonstration & Tasting

In April 2023, we are featuring exclusive products from Kagoshima Prefecture in Kyushu island, Japan. Visit Tokyo Central and Marukai Market at our participating store locations on the following days (**see schedule below**) and you can get a chance to taste local Kagoshima products!

Kagoshima prefecture is located on Kyushu Island in Japan. Remote islands, Satsunan Islands are scattered on the south side of Kagoshima prefecture and has two peninsulas, Satsuma and Osumi. Major tourist attractions include Mt. Kirishima, Sakurajima, the Tanegashima Space Center, the World Natural Heritage Site of Yakushima, Amami Oshima, and Tokunoshima. The region has rich resources in terms of nature, culture, tourism, and industry.

Kagoshima is one of the leading agricultural prefectures in Japan. Agricultural products such as sweet potatoes, green beans, and green tea) are mainly produced in Kagoshima. Traditionally, shochu production is popular, and most of the breweries in the prefecture produce shochu.

From Thursday, 4/20 to Wednesday, 5/17 you can explore the specially curated selection of products from the Kyushu Island.
